Complete Practice
Sit upright. Push gently with the tongue against the roof of the mouth, sustained for ten seconds, then release. Observe what happens at the atlanto-occipital joint on release: a single settle, or multiple micro-rebounds. Determine whether your neck is overdamped (nothing rebounds, suggesting locked tone), critically damped (one clean settle), or underdamped (multiple visible micro-bounces). Repeat with the tongue pressing low against the floor of the mouth and note the change.
