Stilled-Leg Tremor Spectrum

Lie supine.

Full Lesson Notes

Complete Practice

Lie supine. Lift one leg a few centimeters off the floor and hold it there, motionless. The leg is now an antenna registering the body's coda — the trailing reverberations of all the small adjustments the rest of you is making to maintain stillness. Attend to the leg's involuntary tremor and try to identify which of those tremors are sourced from breath, which from heartbeat, and which from postural correction elsewhere. The coda contains more information than the gesture that started it. Switch legs and compare the spectral content side to side.
